What does Web Surveillance do ?
Once you are registered, we provide you with an online tool to assess the visibility of your brand or website
in comparison with your competitors on search engines, on forums…
At first you need to enter your website URL (e.g. mycompany.com), then enter a number of Keywords corresponding to your business.
If your company is a dance school based in Paris for instance, your will provide Keywords like “dancing club”, “dancing in paris”,
“dancing lessons”, “dancing courses”, “dance lessons in paris”, “dancing teachers”,
“salsa lessons in paris”, “tango lessons in paris”, “learn how to dance”…
Finally you enter your competitors websites like otherdanceschool.net and that's it.
Every week you will be able to assess how you rank on major search engines (google, yahoo, …) in comparison
with your competitors on a week by week basis.

This tool also helps companies track any occurence of their name in a forum that you have indicated.

How can I try ?

Can I download the results ?
Yes you can download the format in CSV format
(comma separated values), a typical format for tabular data that you can open with Excel, Open office…

When I download in CSV format, the results all appear in one line, the separators are not taken into account. What can I do?
This depends on the configuration of your tabular application. For example on Excel, you need to create a new spreadsheet and click on data / external data / import data then select when the prompt appears semicolon as the separator.

Can I change the Keywords and Competitors I am tracking ?
Yes you make up to 12 changes per year in the lists of competitors and keywords.

Does this tool work with all languages and engines ?
Yes.

How far do you dig for the occurrence of a domain name in a search engine query?
Only the first 100
results. For Google, it corresponds to the first 10 pages.
Once we reach 100, we show the sign “>100”. |
How many Keywords can I track ?
Up to 10 for one account. |
How many competitors can I track for each keyword ?
Up to 10 per keyword for one account. |
