Marcel Botton

Chairman and CEO

When Marcel Botton created Nomen in 1981, he was simply transforming his passion for words into a full-time job. Marcel acts as naming and strategy advisor on Nomen projects, lending his insight as an economist and marketing specialist. Combining creative techniques with computer processing, Marcel has developed many world-class brand names such as Skyteam, Vinci and Wanadoo. A well-known speaker in France and abroad, Marcel is also the author of numerous works, including Créer et protéger ses marques (co-author), Le nom de marque (co-author, published by McGraw Hill), La créativité Appliquée (published by Editions d'Organisation) and Le Oui et le Nom, Traité de Linguistique Normande (co-author with Anne Buridan).


Laurence Evrard

Deputy CEO and Country Leader, Nomen France

Since 1998, Laurence has been managing director of Nomen France. Her Paris team of 10 professionals includes a semiologist as well as linguistic and research specialists. As the key account executive for several leading companies, including Air France, Chanel, Coca-Cola, Gaz de France and Renault, Laurence has extensive experience in name creation and brand strategy consulting. Before joining Nomen, Laurence honed her communications skills in marketing and communications at IBM and ARM Consulting. A trained physician, Laurence also graduated with a BA in business administration.

Christophe Lelieur

Global Lead Trademark Attorney, Legimark

As Nomen's global lead trademark attorney and the managing director of Legimark France, an intellectual property law firm that is part of the Nomen, Christophe Lelieur works closely with Nomen on international projects. Before joining Legimark, Denis worked with the legal department of Nestlé and Sanofi and was an associate director at a Paris based intellectual property law firm. Christophe graduated with an LLM in intellectual property law from the University of Paris.

Gianluca Billo

Country Leader, Nomen Italy

Now a general manager and partner of Nomen Italy, Gianluca began creating names for Nomen Italy in 1992. He has led national and international projects for large Italian and Italian-affiliated companies in almost every industry. Prior to joining Nomen Italy, Gianluca worked in the marketing department of one of the largest Italian art book publishers. He also enriched his marketing and research skills at a marketing and psycho-sociological research company and during a one-year program in marketing management. Gianluca graduated from The Université Statale di Milano, where he studied Italian literature and fine arts, specialising in languages used in contemporary art.
