A passionate linguistics specialist and the managing director of the Central Balkan Region, Nela has been involved in naming projects for clients such as Adris Group, AlphaMedical, Cedevita, Jadran Gallenic Laboratory and Lura. She also has been the driving force behind the growth of Intercheck, a global network of linguists and cultural specialists with more than 300 members from almost every country of the world. Fluent in English and German, Nela is also comfortable working in French and Italian. She received her BA in German from the Philological Faculty in Belgrade and obtained a communications diploma from the London School of Public Relations.
Chigusa Shimada

A bilingual, bicultural branding consultant, Chigusa Shimada brings a wealth of expertise to her role at Nomen. Her experience includes marketing, naming and branding work for various leading companies in Europe and Asia, including NTT DoCoMo, Renault, Dentsu, InfoCom Research and Capcom. Chigusa has also worked in the luxury goods and fashion industry. She graduated from the Law Department of Chuo University, Tokyo.

Emma, with more than 7 years experience in naming, has created leading brand names for a wide range of products, services and companies including: Vodafone, Kellogg's, Bio Products Laboratories, Danone, Diageo, Bacardi, Honda, Hovis, Arla foods and the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Maija Brummer
Director, EMBEA Finland
Maija Brummer represents Nomen in Finland. During her career she has developed expertise in foreign trade, marketing and communication. She has worked as an export consultant at the Finnish Foreign Trade Association and as commercial attaché at the Embassy of Finland in the Hague. Now she runs her own communications consultancy Embea in Helsinki. Maija has studied economics (M.Sc.Econ.) at Helsinki Swedish School of Economics and foreign trade at the Institute of Export. Maija speaks Finnish, Swedish, English and German and has a good understanding in French.
