Our naming
process

In 2024, Terre Borromeo – the brand encompassing the museum sites and tourism activities owned by the Borromeo family on Lake Maggiore – approached Nomen for the renaming of SAG srl.

The objective was to create a name for a holding company that would bring together all the companies of the Borromeo family under one umbrella and evolve into a true company brand, capable of growing in the future through new acquisitions of properties and museums in Italy and abroad.

Kaleon is the new name of the Borromeo family company dedicated to enhancing, preserving, and safeguarding Italian and international historical and artistic heritage.

The name Kaleon derives from the Greek kaleós (beautiful) and reflects the deep sense of respect for the cultural and historical treasures safeguarded by the family, which drives the company’s mission and vision. Its goal is to enable future generations to enjoy the beauty and value of artistic heritage. The sound of the name conveys a sense of authority rooted in the past while projecting it toward the future.
